General Objectives Activity
Increased Vocal Volume / Breath Support - Calls Dog From Varied Distances

- Gives Dog Commands at a distance (Drop On Recall, Sit, etc.)

Increased Vocal Clarity & Language Production - Use of any of the commands with dog

- Simply Conversing To Or About Dog

Improved Memory - Asked To Recall Dog's Name, Breed, Age, etc.

- Sequence Of Commands To Have Dog Accomplish A Task ( A Retrieval Exercise Using "Wait", "Get It", "Bring It Here" and praise )

- Asked To Recall Objects That Dog Retrieves, Plays With, etc.

- Plays Games With Dog, Is Asked To Recall "Rules, Sequences, Items

Utilization Of Appropriate Gestures - Utilizes Gestures To Call and/or Command Dog

- Directs Dog Through Exercise Using Appropriate Hand Signals.

Object Identification - Directs Dog To Retrieve Specific Familiar Items By appropriate Name, ( Cup, Ball, Spoon, Pen)
Categorization/Sequencing - Directs Dog To Retrieve Items in Specific Order, by Group or Alphabetically
Verbal Expression - Encouraging Patient to Describe Objects, Formulate Short Phrases or Sentences Within Context of New Commands to Animal; Conversing about the Animal.
Attention/Concentration - Attending to Dog, Task and Therapist - Focusing Attention Appropriately, Dividing Attention When Necessary.
