Wheelchair and Seating Services

Wheelchair and Seating Services at Northeast Rehab Health Network bring the client and equipment vendor together under the guidance of a Registered Physical Therapist. We assist the client in obtaining the most appropriate equipment to achieve maximum mobility, comfort and seating.

A clinic visit may include:

• Evaluation of physical and functional status
• Evaluation of special seating requirements through assessment of lifestyle and accessibility needs
• Review of equipment choices, including all wheelchair and seating options
• Trial use of equipment
• Prescription and placement of order(s) for equipment chosen
• Education on equipment use and its care
• Explanation of insurance coverage and benefits for equipment purchase

Since 1984, Northeast Rehabilitation health Network has helped people with an array of injuries and disorders restore the highest level of functioning they can achieve. NRHN's Wheelchair and Seating Services provide evaluation, education, and assistance in selecting equipment, and in assisting clients as they transition their equipment into their daily routines.

How to Refer

A doctor's referral is required. Request a referral to the Wheelchair and Seating Services from your physician.

Hours of Operation

The Wheelchair and Seating Services are located at Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital, 70 Butler Street, Salem, NH, and are open on Thursdays from 9am-12pm.
