Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital established Vision Clinic to provide complete visual services to its inpatient population.

The clinic is conducted by an optometrist (eye doctor), who specializes in vision problems caused by neurological conditions such as stroke or brain injury. The optometrist performs a complete visual examination and then makes recommendations based upon his findings.

Treatment recommendations may vary from vision exercises to new eyeglass prescriptions. Northeast Rehab Occupational Therapists are trained to perform the vision exercises and include them in the patient's daily occupational therapy treatment.
