Even a slight hearing loss can interfere with conversational speech in everyday listening situations. Our Audiology Department provides comprehensive audiology services including evaluation, management, prevention of hearing loss and the rehabilitation of persons with hearing impairment. Our audiology services include:
- Audiological evaluation
- Videonystagmography (VNG) testing – A technology for testing inner ear and central motor functions which involves the use of infrared goggles to trace eye movements during visual stimulation and positional changes
- Central auditory processing disorders (CAPD) assessment – Special tests designed to assess the various auditory functions of the brain.
- Middle ear analysis (tympanometry)
- Hearing aid dispensing
- Hearing aid repair
- Swim plugs
- Noise and musician’s plugs
- Site of lesion testing
Services are available to all age groups except newborns.
