Boxing for Parkinson’s

Boxing has been shown to improve functional mobility, ADL’s, gait speed, gait endurance, and quality of life in people living with Parkinson’s disease. Come join Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital Network’s high energy six week program where boxing techniques, postural awareness, weight shifting, breath control, and increased amplitude of movement are taught by a physical therapist with over 20 years of boxing and martial arts experience.

This class is scheduled to run 2 times a week for 6 weeks. Over the course of 6 weeks, participants will learn how to properly hit targets (not each other!) held by our trainers using the hands and feet in various combinations. No prior boxing experience is required to join.

This class is currently only offered at our Portsmouth, NH location. The total cost for the program is $195. Please contact (603) 501-5519 for upcoming class times and availability.
