Meet Stroke Survivor Reginald Lavigne

Reginald “Reggie” Lavigne came to Northeast Rehab after suffering a debilitating stroke in the late spring of 2017. It left him weak and unable to fully use one side of his body; however, he was lucky to be alive. Reggie’s wife recognized the signs of a stroke and swiftly called an ambulance; this allowed Reggie to get the medical attention he needed, quickly. Timing is everything when it comes to strokes. The more time it takes to get help, the less likely the stroke victim is to fully or even moderately recover.

Remember the acronym F.A.S.T.

  1. Facial drooping
  2. Arm weakness
  3. Speech Slurred
  4. Time: If you notice the signs of a stroke, call 9-1-1 immediately.

We are so proud of the progress Reggie has made and we wish him the best in his endeavors!
