Desiree Jubinville

Desiree JubinvilleWhat persuaded you to accept an offer at Northeast Rehab?

I was able to meet with the person who I was replacing, and knowing that that individual left on good terms and was still involved with the company in a per diem capacity really made me comfortable.  I was also really impressed at how thorough and transparent the interview process was.  I liked knowing that my department directors have been with the company for 20 years and that most of the staff had also been with NRH for some time.  It was very clear to me that my department worked well as a team.

What are three benefits of working here?

I think we are offered a very generous benefit package.  I feel that NRH shows they value their employees and encourage us to be knowledgeable practitioners by offering not only in house continuing education opportunities and an allowance to meet the requirements of our licensure, but a tuition reimbursement program as well.  It keeps us excited and engaged in our profession.

I also feel that the Sports Medicine Department really works well as a team.  We are constantly in contact with one another, and can use each other as resources.  I never feel like a “lone wolf” when I am in the field.  I know I can reach out to my supervising physician, department directors and coworkers when I am in need of advice or assistance.

I feel like the work/life balance is encouraged.  My management has always encouraged and demonstrated open and transparent communication with us.   I was approached to teach at a local university.  I knew it was something I really wanted to happen and discussed it with my boss.  We were able to make the two schedules work.  I really feel that the transparent communication really helps to keep employee morale high.

Would you refer a friend to work here? If so, why?

I absolutely would, and I have.  I am proud of the level of service the Sports Medicine Department offers to our contract schools as well as the organization as a whole.

How is NRH different from other companies you have worked for?

I have previously worked in physician’s office, private practice and university settings.  This is by far the largest institution I have worked at, but it does not feel that way.
