  • Make everyday tasks like bathing, getting dressed, and eating easier and more manageable.
  • Maintain or regain
the ability to move limbs and joints with ease.
  • Manage cancer-related symptoms, such as pain and fatigue.
  • Return to work or school.

Patient and Family Support
Cancer rehab care continues beyond a patient's stay. Here, the nurse is sharing some useful information with a patient.
  • Care Partner Program. Northeast Rehab encourages family and friends to participate in the care of loved ones during their stay in the hospital. Care Partners are considered part of the health care team and are involved in patient education, the patient’s plan of care and planning for discharge.
  • Home Safety and Precaution Education. This may include a home evaluation to determine a person’s ability to manage at their highest functional level in their home.
  • Support Groups. We’ll provide information and can help connect you with support group options.
  • Northeast Passage. We enjoy a close partnership with Northeast Passage that provides patient’s access to recreational resource training and adaptive recreational equipment while in our care. Patients also have the opportunity to utilize their services once they leave our care and many choose to continue.
