“This was my first experience staying at a ‘rehab’. It was suggested and set up by my surgeon to help me get ‘the lay of the land.’ I have had many, many surgeries for my hips throughout the years, but at that time hospital base stays were longer. Having similar surgeries for my hips, I was a war veteran to the recovery routine.

This past surgery was much more complicated and even though I knew how to get through the day, the care and rehabilitation I received was outstanding. The OTs were amazing; so helpful in emotional as well as physical support.

There wasn’t time to waste so the days were filled with ‘missions’ and when I felt too tired or not wanting to cooperate, I was gently but firmly put back into my schedule of learning the tricks of the trade.

I can’t say that I am fully recovered, but I’m well on my way. I do have better days than others, but when I look back at what I have accomplished with the help of Northeast Rehab, I am lucky to have had your support and help.” – Liz Winship, patient
